About Our Church
Basilea Ministries is a part of the Korean Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth. KPCE was founded in 1975 and is a member of the Presbyterian Church USA denomination. The Senior Pastor of the church is Rev. Dr. Joonsik Kim. He is very supportive of our ministry and has even been a guest speaker for our Winter Retreat.
About Our Ministry
The English Ministry of the Korean Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth was started back in the early 90’s with the vision of providing a place of worship for students once they graduated from the Youth Group. The original name for the ministry was “ELM” which served a dual purpose.
A Word From Our Pastor
Thank you for visiting our site! I hope that you can worship with us one day and meet us in person. We are a young and small ministry but we worship an eternal and huge God. I therefore have big hopes and dreams for our ministry, and for our world.
What Does Basilea Mean?
Basilea is the Greek word for “kingdom.” We recently changed our name from ELM (English Language Ministry) to Basilea Ministries because we felt that we needed a new identity. Instead of having an identity that shows the language in which we worship, we wanted an identity that shows our purpose and vision.
